How it turned out...

PRESS:

Nannies/Domestic helpers/household managers often operate quite anonymously wherever they work and particularly in the Middle East. the [sameness] project, in collaboration with TOMS Shoes, has asked nine Dubai based nannies/domestic workers to creatively transform some blank shoes and share their stories along the way. Each pair of re-designed TOMS, along with the shoe-artists story, will then be exhibited and up for sale at a one-off Soles & Stories event on October the 12th at Traffic Gallery, Al Quoz, Dubai. Soles & Stories is a chance to walk in the shoes of nine amazing women. It’s a chance to see their stories, hear their voice, and create a “moment of sameness” where they can be seen as more than just their job title. Want more information?
